NOx Emissions

Measurement and control of emissions such as oxides of nitrogen (NOx), highly volatile organic compounds (HVOC), carbon dioxide (CO2) and other green house gases are becoming a high priority within the energy industry. Currently, there are no guidelines on the measurement or control approaches concerning these emissions. The project will develop guidelines concerning the measurement of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) for a drilling/production site.

On behalf of the State of Texas, HARC has been managing a program to develop and implement technologies to reduce diesel engine emissions. Leveraging this effort, guidelines concerning the application of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technologies will be developed for drilling and production applications.
