The goal of the project is to develop a decision support tool that will aid managers in preventing wetland functionality loss during Energy Production Operations.  The project will involve conducting a literature review on impacts of pipelines and drilling on wetlands, especially Upper Gulf Coast Wetlands; prioritization of these production impacts specific to wetland function (such as coastal flooding mitigation or density of wintering waterfowl);  and using this information to develop a decision support system tool that will contain land use /land cover classifications,  categories assigned to wetland type and function, and prioritization of the functions depending on wetland location and type as well as specific production stressors.
